Description

Crafted under wartime constraints between 1942 and 1945, the Mobilization model recreates the rugged, simplified denim issued during America’s military production surge.

The Great Victory Series marks the transition from raw wartime austerity to cleaner postwar craftsmanship. As the war neared its end, experienced factory workers returned, and material availability stabilized. This 14oz denim has a smoother, more uniform weave with deeper indigo tone, resembling the "year one" denim widely revered by collectors. Construction is neater, logos appear on hardware, and the overall feel is still rugged but more resolved — a preview of what would soon become the postwar standard.

Modeled after late-WWII denim (1945–46), bridging the wartime "Big War" model and early postwar civilian patterns
14oz indigo raw selvedge denim with a cleaner weave and deeper dye tone than earlier wartime models
Mid rise / straight leg / balanced top block with relaxed thigh and hem
Stitching is more even and refined compared to Mobilization and Mackinnon models
Fabric slub and nep are less extreme, creating a smoother silhouette
Bright-finished iron rivets, both exposed and hidden

I didn't soak it, just machine wash it at room temperature, and the shrinkage is actually quite large. The pattern is pretty good.
