Bump plain toe service boots US1001-3

Regular price $259.00

Inspired by the service boots worn by U.S. soldiers in WWI and WWII, the US1001-3 captures the robust presence of early 20th-century field footwear through its high-volume "Bump Toe" profile built on a genuine 1950s American vintage last. Featuring our exclusive HUE Series Tea-Core cowhide for deep, rich aging, this boot’s clean plain toe design emphasizes the substantial weight of the leather, while the Italian Vibram® outsole (available in Q405 or 430) ensures a purely rugged statement with modern grip.

Originally issued to US soldiers during World War I and II, service boots were built for durability, practicality, and all-day wear in the harshest conditions. Their clean, utilitarian design made them ideal for military use — and after the war, they transitioned into civilian life as reliable work boots. Today, service boots are celebrated for their timeless silhouette, rugged construction, and deep roots in functional heritage wear.

    • A Guide for choosing right size

Our boots follow standard boot sizing, which tends to run larger compared to typical sneakers. We recommend one-size down for the boots.
For instance, if you wear 43 sneakers, 42 is right size for you.
If you need further help, please check the size chart below or contact customer service.

Customers can choose between E and EE width lasts:
E last offers a slimmer, more elegant profile.
EE last provides additional room for high insteps, wider forefeet, and mild flat-foot conditions—also the version shown in product photography.

For new buyers unsure of sizing, we recommend starting with the E last for a more refined appearance. Returning customers can select the E last in the same size previously purchased.

If the E last feels tight at first, simply remove the full-length insole and break in the vegetable-tanned leather midsole before reinserting it—resulting in a comfortable fit with the more attractive E-last silhouette.

Timeless Construction. Repairable. Reliable. Reasonably Priced.

Our boots use Goodyear welt construction, known for its strength, water resistance, and easy resoling. This method lets you replace the sole without damaging the upper, making the boots truly long-lasting. Made to be worn hard, repaired easily, and kept for years — all at a price that stays fair.

    Service Boots

Service boots trace their roots to early 20th-century military footwear: the rugged ankle boots issued to soldiers in WWI and WWII. Built for long marches and harsh conditions, they established the clean 6-inch profile, sturdy leather, and durable stitchdown-style construction that later shaped North American workwear.
