Description

Same build as the standard 2690, recast in Horween Chromexcel (CXL), Essex, or Dublin on Goodyear welt construction, with an Italian VIBRAM® Tygum 700 outsole in place of the standard custom rubber. Horween Leather Co. (founded 1905) is known for rich oils and deep aging character.

A forward-leaning shape and roomier ankle fit set the 2690 apart from the 3530. Pairs well with tapered denim and tailored workwear.

How to measure

Stand up with your weight even on both feet, wearing the socks you’ll wear with the boots.
Put a sheet of paper against a wall; stand with your heel touching the wall.
Mark the tip of your longest toe, then measure heel-to-mark (cm or inch).
Measure both feet and use the longer one.

Superb Boots
My new Horween Custom 2690 Engineer Boots with a Vibram sole are everything I hoped for. The color is a rich, redwood-looking brown with a reddish tint to it,. It’s unusual but understated. The boots were comfortable enough to wear all day right out of the box, but I am looking forward to getting them broken in properly. I can already intuit how they will mold to my feet & develop a unique patina. The craftsmanship of this pair of boots is obvious, & there can be no doubt that they are a great value. I am a big fan of Horween leather, and these boots are thoroughly satisfying. Thanks to Customer Service for helping me find the right size so diligently!
