Returning customers can choose their usual leather shoe size in the E last; new buyers are also recommended to start with the E last in their regular size.
If the E last feels tight or presses on the instep, it’s often due to the full-length insole padding. Removing it temporarily allows the vegetable-tanned leather midsole to mold to the foot.
After breaking in, the padding can be reinserted for a customized and comfortable fit.

My personal suggestion is to choose your athletic shoe size for the E-last. I wore a size 42.5 for athletic shoes, and I bought it for a size 42, which fit perfectly. Thhe customer service showed sincerity and handled the situation proactively, which I appreciate.
