"Archetype" 1930s D-Pocket Motorcycle Jacket (Pre-order)

Leather Togs built its name in the 1910s outfitting Harley-Davidson riders and stood among the biggest American motorcycle-leather makers until it closed in the 1950s. We went back to one of its early-1930s models, the original D-Pocket jacket whose lines later surfaced on BUCO, BECK and nearly everyone else's take on the motorcycle jacket, and rebuilt it with Real Simons, our own maker. Every element was reworked with current resources while keeping the vintage silhouette intact and upgrading the fit for real comfort on the road.

The collar keeps its true 1920s–30s geometry: the angle between the upper and lower points and the subtle curve along the edge, never flattened or simplified. The D-Pocket is full, rounded and functional, with its own zipper-pull. The cuffs stay snug the way the original designers intended, so wind cannot work its way in while you ride. The waist belt and the glove-securing epaulets are both kept, along with the four round studs on each sleeve that were Leather Togs' signature. Inside, a wool-blend body is paired with classic American plaid through the sleeves. It is cut broad through the shoulders and chest and tapered cleanly through the body: trim on the road, never flapping in the wind.
